Things to Do in Bratislava: Castles, Old Town and Day Trips
Most visits combine the compact Old Town with Bratislava Castle on the hill above it, and many add Devín Castle on the edge of the city. Check closing days before you go: the castle museum is closed on Tuesdays and Devín Castle on Mondays. These guides give the hours, tickets and how to get there.

Which day is Bratislava Castle museum closed?
The SNM – Museum of History inside Bratislava Castle is closed on Tuesdays. The castle grounds are open daily from 8:00 to 22:00.
Which day is Devín Castle closed?
Devín Castle is closed on Mondays all year. From November to February it opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00.
Can I see Bratislava in one day?
For a first visit, a day is enough for the Old Town, St Martin's Cathedral and Bratislava Castle, with trains back to Vienna until close to midnight.
